Terms of service
These terms apply between CodeAPIness, Albania ("we") and the merchant who installs or uses Loyalty Connector ("you"). By installing the app you accept them. Using Shopify is also subject to Shopify's own terms.
1. The service
Loyalty Connector lets you run a points program in your store. It calculates and records points, creates discount codes in your store when customers redeem them, and shows balances and rewards through theme blocks and Shopify extensions. Features may change over time. We will not remove a core feature without notice.
2. Subscription and payment
- The app is billed through Shopify, at the plans, prices and trial period shown in the Shopify App Store and in the app when you subscribe. Prices exclude taxes that Shopify may add.
- Shopify charges you and handles invoices and refunds under its billing terms. We do not receive your payment details.
- We may also grant a licence for a fixed period agreed with you outside Shopify. That licence ends on its expiry date.
- If the subscription or licence ends, the program stops: no new points, no redemptions, and no automated tasks. Your data stays until you uninstall (see the privacy policy). After you renew, store events from the last 30 days are processed.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice. Changes apply from your next billing period.
3. Your responsibilities
- Your program, your rules. You decide how points are earned, redeemed and expire, and you publish the program terms for your customers. The app's "Program text" page helps you draft them, but you are responsible for their content.
- Points are your commitment. Points and the discounts created from them are offers from your store to your customers. Any obligation to honour them is yours, not ours.
- Laws. You are responsible for complying with the consumer, tax, marketing and data protection laws that apply to your store. This includes informing your customers about the loyalty program in your own privacy policy.
- Settings. Check your settings before launching and after changing them. The rules preview and the program text show the result.
- Acceptable use. Do not use the app to break the law, to mislead customers, or to interfere with the service or other stores.
4. Data
You own your store's data. We process it as described in the privacy policy. For your customers' data you are the controller and we act as your processor, only on your instructions given through the app's settings.
5. Availability and support
We work to keep the service available and correct, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Store events received during an outage are queued and processed when the service is back. Support is by email and in-app chat, as described on the support page.
6. Suspension and termination
- You may stop at any time by uninstalling the app.
- We may suspend an account that does not pay, breaks these terms, or puts the service or other stores at risk. Where possible we will tell you first.
- After uninstalling, your data is deleted as described in the privacy policy. If you need a copy of your program data, write to us before you uninstall.
7. Intellectual property
The app, its code and brand belong to CodeAPIness. You get a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the app in your stores while your subscription or licence is active. Content you add (texts, images, settings) remains yours.
8. Warranty and liability
The app is provided "as is", without warranties beyond those required by law. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost sales or profits, or for discounts your customers redeemed under rules you configured. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will give at least 30 days' notice of material changes in the app or by email. If you continue to use the app after the changes take effect, you accept them.
10. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Albania. Disputes go to the competent courts of Tirana, unless mandatory law gives you a different forum. We will always try to resolve a problem by talking to you first.
